Bump is a bit of a relic from the days where 99% of internet conversations came in the form of forums and typically has one of two purposes. By posting "bump" you are "bumping" the thread back to the top of the list (since most forum threads, at least back then, were sorted by most recent activity), or you're adding a comment so that when the thread is updated with responses, you'll be notified. Nowadays, in a non-forum environment or pseudo-forum environment (like this one), "bump" is a way to say "hey, I'm also interested in this question and would like an answer".

Hope that helps! I've only played for 25 minutes so far so I don't have the knowledge to answer your game question, sorry :(

That's correct, yes.

Hey, so after the most recent update my game just won't launch anymore. I get the thing at the bottom of the Itch launcher showing the game and saying it's Running, but nothing pops up and I have to force close it each time. I've tried reinstalling the game and it doesn't help. Any idea what might be going on?

Narrows eyes Don't you do this to me, Ricky Bobby! Lol, I gotta give you credit dude, you've done a really good job at giving us valid reasons to dislike the antagonists. I haven't held this much hate for an antagonist (in this case, Whoregana) since Geoffrey from Game of Thrones, whereas sometimes in other games/media it feels like we're supposed to hate the antagonist just because they're the antagonist. This is easily my favorite game in its category I've played, and I thank you not only for the work you've done but also for not being greedy. I understand that you gotta make money to be able to dedicate time to making this game, but I've seen other people that monetize their games so aggressively that it feels like 80% of the game is locked behind a paywall. The way you've done it makes me want to support you financially, as opposed to feeling like I have to if I ever want to get to truly experience the game. Thanks for the experience, thanks for not scoffing at people who might not be able to make a monthly financial commitment like that, and I wish you nothing but good fortune and success moving forward ^-^

So this is probably gonna sound really stupid, but I blame the developer for making me get invested in the story and characters lol.

Do you have any idea when we may see the ability to go to the Outskirts in Act III? Because I have four kids (in-game obv lol) and the idea of them being trapped away from me makes me a bit anxious lol. Like I said, I know it's dumb and I should prolly just go touch grass or something, but would you at least be able to tell me if they're ok? Like, I'll be real, it's kinda gonna fuck me up if I go over there (when we eventually can) and find out somebody killed them or something.

You can send any girl you've "tamed" back to the dungeon for some fun, but to the best of my knowledge you can't permanently place them their once recruited. But if you go down to the dungeon and select the "Summon a Girl" option, you'll see all your "tamed" counterparts there.

So, if you're like me and you're used to the game mechanics of "Visit this NPC to raise this stat" or "Go to this place and perform this activity to raise this other stat" then the system can seem kinda weird, but as long as you play through the main story and do the girl's stories, you'll find your stats increasing as per story interactions either directly (as in "task completed, stat point gained) or by unlocking said interaction/location. So just go through the story normally and you'll find these opportunities (some of them, like Charisma and Physical, are *technically* available from the start or near the start, at least for the first few advancements). Looking at the stat scroll, they have little hints about how to get you started. I'll try to give non-spoiler info on it here for you :)

Charisma: Go to the bar in the morning and look around to find books, eventually you'll need to perform tasks for an NPC to raise it further (this is obvious and hard to miss so long as you keep visiting the bar in the morning).

Martial: Eventually you unlock the ability to visit a certain family member of yours, that'll deal with your Martial path pretty much in its entirety.

Insight: Once you unlock the ability to use the train station, use it and go to the Lake.

Magical: Go to the outskirts and start exploring, eventually you'll find somebody interesting...

Physical: Also outskirts, I hear working on a farm is pretty hard work. Once that's that, it might help to find somebody really strong to help you (requires advancement of story, it becomes pretty obvious once the character opens up).

In terms of recipes, unless I missed something, you only actually get ONE recipe in Act 3 just naturally (it depends on the meal you picked on Day 1, idk if the effect varies per food but I did salad and it's a pretty darn good recipe), but by exploring a certain district I know of at least one other recipe you can discover. Before Act III, I don't even think recipes are a thing.

Hope this helps you, friendo! ^-^

Yeah there were multiple times during play when I was expecting to get the dreaded message that all players know, "You've completed all available content for this release version!" and it just took SOOOOO long to come up (in a good way) lol. On top of that, I said I've completed all current content, but as I read through peoples comments it seems I actually did miss some things, so it's possibly that if I had hit them all my playtime would've been at 40+ hours; it's a lot of really well done work so far, and I hope you'll enjoy it ^-^

If you're worried, you can click the settings cog next to the "Launch" option in the bar at the bottom and choose to play an earlier version in order to get to a place for a safe, clean save and then try loading up with the new update :)

Nope, but I have completed all the current content in the game and my playtime is at 37 hours, so you've still got a good chunk of content to play with, and the story is phenomenal, so I hope you'll enjoy yourself :)

Yeah the way that the text was worded when it occurred, it really makes me think it's gonna be a locational story event fight, possibly something involving the Fae once that system gets expanded a bit more. I *believe* I've now played through all the content the current version has available (all girls except Lyx say no more content available in this version, Lyx says to wait until Act 3), I've taken over the entire district surrounding the manor and no other location allows me to scout/mount an attack. I'm *really* impressed with this game, I can't wait to see what happens next (some of the story cliffhangers are killing me rn lmao).

Thanks for the response Chris, and I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day!

Got a bug report for you (I *think*, it might just be a Ren'py limitation, in which case ignore me ^-^). For anybody NOT the Dev that may be reading this, THIS WILL CONTAIN A SPOILER FOR LATE GAME (at least, late game as of update 0.18.7) SO IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS (trust me, you don't, the story is so well crafted that by the time I got there I was NOT expecting to get that kinda outcome) THEN DON'T READ ON!!!

---------------------------SPOILER BELOW-----------------

During combat when you're taking back the neighborhoods (it works on on any of the neighborhoods it seems), the menu (with save and load and such) as well as scene reversal (like with the mouse wheel) are disabled, which I assume is intentional so that you can't cheese combat (which makes perfect sense), but after the battle ends and you regain menu/scene control, you can mousewheel BACK INTO the combat freely and reperform actions. I haven't done it to see what happens, but it gives me the option to, and considering the way you have it setup I assume it's NOT intentional, so I thought I'd let you know!

Also, a question while I'm below the spoiler line: with the two sisters from The Glades, it mentions that if you "keep pushing" you'll end up finding the other sister. Is that a matter of like...a chance for her to appear if you keep looking for trouble enough, or is that something not currently implemented in this version?

You can download the new version's APK and just move the save files from the old APK to the new one using something like File Manager. That's how most people tend to handle updates for Android; hope this helps!

Damn, guess I got some grinding to do lmao; thanks for the answer, friendo!

Really enjoying the game so far, but I do have one question that I can't seem to find the definitive answer to online: what is the cap for skills/attributes (Fitness, Knowledge, etc.)? I'm grinding the levels and am over 200 with a couple of them, not sure if I'm wasting my time or not by focusing it over interactions lol
